College Wins Statewide Continuing Education Award
December 19, 2016
The Continuing Education Association of New York (CEANY) has awarded Tompkins Cortland Community College the James C. Hall Exemplary Marketing Program Award for 2016. The award was accepted by Martha Hubbard, the College’s Director of Corporate and Community Partnerships, at the CEANY annual conference last month in Suffern, New York.
The award recognizes the new website and online registration system for Biz, Tompkins Cortland Community College’s home for continuing education and non-credit professional development programs. In announcing the award, CEANY stated “The new Biz website is a truly creative way to harness all available resources to effectively market, communicate, and support the business of continuing education on the campus.” The Biz website was redesigned in 2016, incorporating the College’s new logo as well as creating an online registration and payment system. The new registration system addressed reduced staffing while also providing a more efficient registration experience for consumers.
CEANY is a statewide organization with more than 500 members representing all public higher education across the state, including both SUNY and CUNY two and four-year institutions. This marks the sixth time in the last nine years that Tompkins Cortland Community College has been named a winner of a James C. Hall Award from CEANY.
