A.A.S. Degree, Certificate

Strong office administrators and managers are the backbone of all organizations. Our degree program in office management and administration prepares you for a career as an assistant, administrative assistant, executive assistant, administrative support specialist, coordinator, office manager, or secretary. Students who have acquired technology skills through high school programs or by other means may qualify for advanced standing in certain subjects.

Graduates of this program are employed by firms such as Advertising Associates, Inc., Avinet, Inc., Cornell Federal Credit Union, Cortland Savings Bank, Cortland and Tompkins County Departments of Social Services, Deanco, Inc., George Junior Republic, Groton Nursing Facility, Innovative Dynamics, Inc., Ithaca College, J.M. Murray Center, Inc., P.W. Wood and Sons Insurance, Precision Filters, Inc., Tompkins Cortland Community College, Tompkins Trust Company, Wendcentral Corp., and WHCU/WYXL. Over the past two years, all graduates seeking employment found positions with 88 percent employed directly in office administration.

Transfer Options

Qualified graduates can pursue a bachelor's in science degree in vocational teacher preparation at SUNY College at Oswego.
