Wellness at TC3

While the College has always maintained a strong commitment to the wellness of its students and staff, the Wellness Council was established in 2011 to coordinate and drive that effort with a host of on-campus programs that provide healthy lifestyle opportunities and targeted treatment programs.

Since 2011, annual wellness events and programs have included:

Options Program

For students who may be concerned about their alcohol or other drug (AOD) use, the Options Program provides assessment, personalized feedback, counseling, and referrals.

Red Watch Band Program

Red Watch Band

The Red Watch Band program is a four-hour training session in which participants learn how to recognize alcohol emergencies and respond effectively. All participants who complete the RWB training receive CPR certification and are able to understand how alcohol emergencies are medical emergencies that require immediate, professional care.

Other wellness events include: the T-shirt project, on-campus stress relief, the faculty/staff benefit fair, and more.

The Wellness Council

Build and support a campus culture that fosters student success by nurturing wellness including the physical, social, intellectual, emotional, spiritual and occupational.


Guide the planning, coordination, implementation, and assessment of the mission through endorsing priorities and initiatives of various offices.  Offices represented include Student Health Services, Athletics and Recreation, Human Resources, Residence Life and Judicial Affairs, Student Activities, Campus Police, Counseling, Career and Transfer Services.

The work of the group is accomplished through several sub-groups:  Nutrition and Fitness, Alcohol and other Drug, Violence Prevention, Mental Health.

Comprised of representatives from faculty, staff and students, the Sustainability Council supports the vision and goals with planning and action.
